Monday
I've been working all day and finished nothing! But this was a huge project worked on all weekend in between other tasks and it's looking close to being finished. I've broken half a dozen sewing machine needles today though so after the last one I decided that I'd put it all away for today and look at it again tomorrow with a fresh outlook. Can't wait to show you this one in it's entirety. I'm very proud of myself (and pride comes before a fall so say no more!!!)
Feeding the soul...
Not much of that done although after going hard out at the sewing machine today I did sit down and watch episode 4 of The Event. I don't think I really watch anything much on TV anymore - I just watch it later on On Demand via my pc. Hardly feeding my soul really but it was time out!
Tuesday
This is starting to become a theme - work, work, work, no goals completed. In fact I only just got my goal list sorted for this week.
Feeding the soul...
Not enough time for feeding the soul today.
Wednesday
1. Completed another bit of urgent transcription. It feels great to have some income, especially at this time of year (not that I invoice until the end of the month).
Feeding the soul...
Knit, knit, knit - I know, I'm cheating but who has the time to relax - so much to be done.
Thursday
2. Does it count if I finished it in the wee small hours of Friday morning or should I then put it in Fridays achievements LOL. Whatever - it's dones - a Spring Butterfly for a friends daughters birthday and a dolly butterfly to match for her doll - including handmade polymer clay buttons.
Feeding the soul...
I think I've given up on this for this week.
Friday
3. One princess dress up costume made for a Princess fifth Birthday party.
Feeding the soul...
Shopping!!!! I found a couple of bargain, end of line, clearance, gifts for Christmas shops. Of course it would have been less stressful without Zoe accompanying me but thank goodness for small mercies I managed to park right out front of the large roller doors so Logan could continue sleeping with the windows rolled down. Had fun wandering through but of course couldn't buy everything I really wanted.
Saturday
4. Zoe's Christmas Dress. armholes and neckholes crocheted and buttons attached. It's a tad big on her and I can see that it will last for years which will be nice.
Feeding the soul...
Grocery shopping with the family. Himself isn't keen on shopping. I think the last time we went to Pak and Save we were childless - they had a fire alarm half way around which really had him fuming LOL. This time went smoothly but I've never seen so much junk in our trolley. At least he had fun - and he LOVES the Pak and Save prices.
Sunday
5. Apply for jobs as they come up. I've been ticking this off all week. Haven't actually had anything come up but then Christmas is next week and it's unlikely that people will be advertising hard out. Had yet another rejection that I queried so will wait to hear what they have to say. I CAN understand where they are coming from but it's annoying all the same.
6. Zoe's Ballerina Teddy Bear. I actually gave up on this one. I knitted it months ago but putting it together was awful and I could see it was going to look pretty shoddy so I did the right thing and binned the body pieces - all tiny and gave Zoe the ballet wrap cardy for her dolls clothes box - it'll fit one of her dolls. I'm happy to see the back of it really.
7. Actually this wasn't on my list but I'd decided to finish it when I realised how little there was to do (ie tie the strings onto the rods and the washers onto the other end of the strings - done!). I made one of these fishing sets a couple of years back for a friends daughter for Christmas. I also made one for Zoe but never finished it. Now it seems perfect for Logan - minus the girly ribbons on the handles. Obviously this one is the one I made for Chloe. (I replaced one of the items in my To Do list with this - I can't finish the other one with Zoe around - will have to wait for a Kindy day).
Feeding the soul...
Today I took time out from the madness of pre Christmas and did something for myself - got moving on a WIP that is purely for me - a knitted cabled handbag. I'm looking forward to finishing it - I love the yarn and the pattern - so warm and cuddly.
