Are We Making Inroads Into the Clutter?

Yesterday was a day of business.  One more section of the garden planted - tomatoes this time and a makeshift fence around them to guard from scritch scratchy chooks.  Two large pots filled with potting mix with a little help from Zoe and not so much help from Logan who preferred to trowel it OUT of the pots and onto the ground - we planted apple cucumbers in those.

We had a visit from Julie and Jack the latter of whom had great fun playing with Logan - he's about four months older than Logan.  Julie was wonderful and made us all lunch.  We're flat broke at the moment so it was a blessing to have someone help us out - the scones sufficed for afternoon tea and dinner accompaniments as well.

Loaded quite few things to Trade Me.  Have to declutter and get some cash as well.  I may have priced my fabric a bit high so if I don't get any interest this time around I'll drop the prices.  I just want it gone and some money in our account for groceries (and wouldn't mind enough so that I can list the car on Trade Me too).  Have listed 18 items for a friend.  We're doing a little bartering - mostly resulting in me getting some Christmas presents for the kids in return for listing her things.

On Saturday I sewed and stuffed two minky cushions for Logans jungle themed room.  I backed them with stretch velveteen.  Yesterday I hand stitched them closed - not the prettiest stitching and very lumpy stuffing (batting from the stash rather than actual poly fill but beggers can't be choosers) but I'm hoping with the thrashing the kids will give them the stuffing will settle and the minky of course feels wonderful.

Zoes "desk" got a couple more coats of paint and I started on her bedside table that was sanded and filled months - maybe even years - ago.  I shouldn't have but I felt the need to slap paint on something and it was to hand - I have to sand the filler down more so I didn't got to mad about it.  Today I'll make the "curtain" for the desk and look at her drawers that we want to put in one of the shelves - I was thinking about covering them with the same fabric and probaby will do that today as well.  Looking forward to rummaging through my fabric and picking something nice.  With all the cushion stuffing yesterday I managed to empty one of my 50 litre containers so now I can transfer some of the overflow into that - strange what we get excited about isn't it!!!
