As is frequently the way when you make a decision NOT to do something that SOMETHING inevitably becomes more available, cheaper, and in your face!!!!
No I have not fallen off the wagon but twice today I came close. First of all a quilting fabric provider sent me not one but two emails advertising her wares at $5 a yard - one of which is in the colours I really want to recover a lampshade for a refurbished standard lamp I have. Fortunately I decided that I didn't want to compromise and will wait until I can find enough fabric in the pattern that is my first choice - hopefully not until AFTER my no-spend month. So I shut down the website, shut down the email, deleted the email and two minutes later the second one popped up (I must be subscribed twice!). I was strong and deleted it straight away.
The second time was an email from the Greenbeanz team. I recently sold on a lot of my nappy fabric because Logan is really at toilet training stage and I still have plenty in boy shades to make snap in toilet training pads. I also want to make mama pads and unfortunately DON'T have any girly shades but if I DO manage to get around to it before the end of the no-spend month I can make do with the powder blue. Greenbeanz had suedecloth in red and kelly green - $2.13 for 49cm x 165cm. I almost caved. But $2.13 is still spending and I don't know if I really need any suedecloth anyway - ok so I don't have pretty colours but I don't REALLY need that if there is plenty of what I do have!
But I WIN - I WIN!!!
