(Should have published this last weekend so it should be dated 4 October)

Already worked my A off this morning - extended the temporary garden fence, nailed up cloth from an old shade sale (more destashing yay) to the walkway/garden rail to make a low barrier to disuade the chooks from entering my garden.  Repotted some parsley and freshened up the mint.  Planted two pots of zuchini seeds.  Gave the worms in the worm farm a new blankie.  Hunted down some yarn for a lady on TNN.  Repacked my empty 50l bin from yesterday and ironed some fabric for Zoe's desk curtain.

Whilst sitting with Logan to get him to have his morning sleep I've managed to organise a few questions for my possible article subject this month AND write down a rough list of people to contact about advertising in that area.  I've just sent the email "requesting an audience" with the possible article subjects too so I'm doing quite well in that area today.  I just have to write the rough details into a format that I can talk to "my boss" about when I meet with her this week.  This is a great opportunity and a really challenging one - it's very much pushing my boundaries which is probably a good thing.  Another good thing is this sunshine.  It's WONDERFUL.  So uplifting for the spirits.

This afternoon we moved the horses.  Our on-site neighbour (two houses on the same property) fixed up the electric fences in one of the upper paddocks over the weekend (he's very house proud and the grass was getting a bit long for his liking) so we can contain Azi who, once the paddock is near eaten out, will test the fences and then just walk through them.  I haven't switched it on yet but there's so much grass in there he'll be fine for a couple of days and I'll sort it out before then.  The kids thought it was an adventure and Logan especially loved closing all the gates and waiting for the horses to come up to their new grazing.  We kept in one paddock and called them rather than leading them up - it's a bit easier but takes a bit longer - plus it's safer for the littlies.  Don't know where the cow is or what we're going to do with her - will wait for Marty to decide.  He's gone fishing!

Have made a neat swap with someone from TNN today too.  She was after ribbon and I pulled 20 or so out of my drawers and photographed them.  She's taking a metre of about ten of them and I'm swapping for some of her designer quilting fabric scraps.  I can't wait - most of my stuff is el cheapo from Ikes Emporium.  It'll be nice to have little bits of "real" fabric I can play with.
